In the week of 16 December we will send new mobile membership cards to all our members. You will receive a text message with a link for downloading the card. When the year 2025 begins, it is time to say goodbye to plastic membership cards.
We will send new mobile membership cards to our members in the week of 16 December. You will receive your card via text message to the mobile phone number that you have told us. You can make sure that we have your current mobile phone number by checking your contact information at myJHL.
Mobile card quick start guide
- Click the mobile card’s download link that you have received in a text message.
The sender of the text message is MagMa. The message is in Finnish and it reads:
Hei, lataa JHL-mobiilikortti tästä:
https://lompakko.magma-app.com/activation?activationCode=…
(Hi! Download your mobile JHL membership card here:
https://lompakko.magma-app.com/activation?activationCode=…) - Register in the service and create a username (your email address) and password.
- Your mobile card will be downloaded to your phone into an app called Magma Lompakko.

JHL moves to mobile membership cards
Have you heard about a mobile membership card and wonder what it is? Our membership card is modernised and changed into a mobile card in the beginning of next year.
In the past our members could choose either a plastic membership card or a mobile card.
Your membership card is a proof of your JHL membership. You need it in situations where you need to prove that you are a JHL member – for example to use the membership benefits.
When the card is on your phone, the membership benefits and services for members are at your fingertips anytime. Another advantage is that you cannot lose your mobile membership card: if you accidentally remove it or if you change your phone, you can download the card again.
How to download your card again
- If you have activated your card earlier, sign in to the Lompakko app again, and you will find your card there. Do this also if you move to a new phone.
- If you need to activate your card again, you can use the original text message, if you still have it.
- If you no longer have the activation message, contact JHL’s membership service, for example by using the contact form at myJHL under “Contact us”.

JHL wants to operate in an environmentally sustainable way and choose solutions that are better for the environment. Moving away from plastic membership cards supports these efforts.
If you cannot download the mobile card, you can get a certificate of membership at myJHL
If you do not have a smartphone that you can use to download the new mobile membership card, you can get a certificate of membership from myJHL service. You can download the certificate from the service and print it yourself.
You can show the certificate of membership instead of the mobile card for example when you use your membership benefits.
If you do not have a printer, you can use one for instance in many libraries.
Please bear in mind that this certificate of membership is not an insurance certificate. You can only use it instead of the membership card as a proof of your trade union membership.
Your insurance card is in TaskuTurva app
Our membership benefits include a great insurance package from Turva Insurance Company, including for example a travel insurance.
You can view your insurance card in TaskuTurva app (only in Finnish). The app also offers instructions for emergencies and a search for doctors and places for medical treatment. We recommend that you download both the new mobile card and the TaskuTurva app.
If you need a travel insurance certificate, you can print it from Turva’s web service (in Finnish, see turva.fi/jhlenglish for instructions) or contact Turva’s customer service to have it delivered to you.
Remember to always make sure that your membership is up to date before you travel. The insurances are only valid when everything is in order with your trade union membership.
In a sudden emergency you can get help even if you do not have any card or certificate with you.
The SOS International travel emergency service has all the necessary insurance information. The SOS International service provides service 24/7, every day of the year. Your trade union membership needs to be in order also when you use this service.
Get a discount on fuel with Neste app
JHL members get a discount of 2.1 cents on petrol and diesel at Neste service stations. This membership benefit is still available, and the changes of the membership card do not affect it.
You can get the benefit by downloading Neste app and adding your JHL membership number in the app.
