JHL’s ranks keep growing: almost 7,000 new members have joined this year!
Trade Union JHL has defended the terms and conditions of employment in Finland prominently and powerfully in the beginning of the year. It’s evident that there is demand for this, because the union has attracted an impressive number of new members this year. And we still have room for more, come and join us!
The heated spring of strikes has attracted to JHL’s ranks a great number of people who want to ensure a secure working life for themselves. Nearly 7,000 new members have joined the trade union by late April!

January was a particularly busy month with a rush of more than 3,400 new JHL members. JHL attracted especially professionals of early childhood education and care, including childcarers, Bachelors of Social Services and early childhood education and care teachers.
The first months of the year have brought many new union members who are still in the beginning of their careers. The largest group of joiners from January to April were 21 to 30-year-olds. More than 2,100 people in that age group joined the trade union.
