You can invite people you know to join JHL in a matter of minutes on our recommendation website. When they join, you get bonus points that you can use for great rewards, and growing the number of members helps to make your position in working life stronger.
Did you know that you can easily invite people you know to join JHL and tell them about the membership using our recommendation system? All it takes is a couple of clicks and a couple of minutes on our recommendation website, and you have sent an invitation to join JHL to your colleagues, fellow students, family and neighbours!
How to use the recommendation system to invite people to join JHL
- Click yourself to JHL’s recommendation site.
- Fill in the form with your information. Don’t forget your membership number! We need it so that we can reward you for the members that you have recruited. You can find your membership number from your membership card, or from myJHL by selecting Member information > Personal information.
- Choose how you want to send the message: via WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS or email.
- Type your recommendation message. You can use the automatic message from the system or write your own message. Remind the joining member to write your membership number in the membership application form.
- Choose the recipients and send the message. Recommending the membership is this easy!
Why recommend trade union membership?
These are many reasons to recommend the membership, but these are two very good ones:
- More members means a stronger position for employees in working life and society.

One of the most usual reasons why people are not in a trade union is that nobody has asked them to join.
On the recommendation website you can easily invite people you know to join us. Helping them also helps you to get a stronger position in working life.
The more members JHL has, the better we can represent all of you in workplaces and collective agreement negotiations.
When you get people to join, you earn rewards
When someone you know joins JHL, and they have written your membership number on their form, you earn points. You can use the points to redeem JHL Bonus Awards products. There are all kinds of high-quality products available. You get 30 points for each new fee-paying member and 12 points for each new student member.

Tell about JHL’s membership during the member recruitment weeks
We encourage all our members to talk about the importance of trade union membership in JHL’s member recruitment weeks from 28 October to 10 November 2024.
If you feel that our recommendation site is not the right way for you to invite your friends to join us, you can of course encourage them to join the trade union in other ways, too. You can for example talk about the membership face to face on a coffee break. Just remind them to write your membership number in the membership application form so that you get the points for Bonus Awards!
Trade union membership is extra important in the current situation, where cutbacks threaten working conditions and people’s livelihoods in our society. When employees are in a trade union, they show that they want a fair working life and proper working conditions.
