Collective agreement negotiations of the private early childhood education and care sector continue, holiday break next week
Negotiation meetings are well underway. Goals of both employers and employees have been discussed on a general level.
Negotiations on the future collective agreement for the private early childhood education and care sector are in progress. The next negotiation meeting take place today, Thursday 10 October.
The representatives of the employers and the employees have now met several times. The meetings have so far mostly dealt with schedules and other practical matters.
Some negotiation goals have already been raised in the meetings, but for the time being they are on a very general level.
– Private early childhood education and care employs more than 10,000 people in Finland, so a dedicated collective agreement is very much needed, explains JHL’s Senior Bargaining Specialist Hanna Katajamäki.
After today, agreement negotiations will continue on Monday 21 October. The goal is to finalise the agreement in January 2025.
The collective agreement negotiations for the private early childhood education and care sector started in September 2024. The bargaining parties are JHL, OAJ, SuPer, Talentia and Finnish Education Employers.
